Sports Field
If you are a sports fan, then you shouldn’t miss this fantastic park. The field is one place I never miss whenever I am on a visit to the park.
In fact, one highlight of Southridge Park is the stadium and amazing sporting activities. For a start, the park is home to a lighted baseball field; a lighted football/soccer field, encircled by a track; which were all installed in 2001.
There are 1,512 bleacher seats for sports fans on the field, a 5,232 square foot field house with ticket booths, a refreshment stand, and restrooms, a lit parking area with linking walkways, and a perimeter fence. There are also electronic scoreboards with video displays and public address systems.
Additionally, for the past two years, this location has been the practice facility for the Miami Spartans minor league football team. Other nearby public and private schools, including Choice Preparatory School and more also utilize the field.
From track meets and football games to lacrosse and soccer tournaments, the park provides facilities for a variety of child sporting events and activities.
