Formerly called West Perrine Park, Wilbur b bell Park is a large park in Miami, Florida. It is a popular destination for families, athletes, and nature lovers. The park includes something for everyone, from a playground for youngsters to an adult workout zone.
The park is named after Wilbur B. Bell, a long-time West Perrine community activist. From 1976 to 2000, Bell served on the Miami-Dade County Commission, where he was an outspoken supporter of parks and leisure.

Wilbur b bell was a resident of West Perrine since he was 3 years old and spent over 78 years as a resident. He was a student at Florida A&M University and also served in the military where he did a total of 7 on active duty Air Force.
In addition, he served on a number of boards, YMCA, Church board, the Perrine-Cutler Ridge Board, Chamber, and also became the vice-chairman of the State of Florida Correction Commission.
He made his mark and served his community and this earned him the right to have a park named after him, and it is such a beautiful thing to see.
